About Us
Vision Statement
The Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community envisions a future in which we purposefully evolve, bringing our message of inclusion and reasoned hope to the greater community, while remaining true to our current Mission and the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community is:
- To abide by the roots of the word, “worship,” which are “worth” and “shape,” by coming together on Sunday mornings to shape that which is most worthy in us.
- To provide a space where all people are accepted and may gather in love and fellowship to support each other’s spiritual growth and development.
- To serve the greater community through social action.
- To provide religious education for adults and children in order to improve our understanding of ourselves and the universe.
Our covenant – work in progress.
We are proud of our welcoming atmosphere toward all visitors. Our central principle is: Come as you are and be welcomed.
